Alexander Girard

This guy okay.
"Infinite are man's expressions of beauty and love; open your eyes your ears and
your heart to them and you will unite the peoples of the world."

I was struggling with the vector world and then King Matt came and magicked things up.
He saw that the vector 'style' I'm liking is this 60's groovy look, and he showed me Alexander Girard.
What a man.

Not vectors as such, but beautiful, mathematical shapes. And Girard is the Emperor of colour for sure. Why do all those colours work in that one image? It should really be chaotic and confusing, but it's harmonious and balanced.

I normally hate flat primary colours. GIRARD YOU HAVE TURNED MY WORLD AROUND. LET ME LOVE YOU.

The curves of his figures are both natural and other worldly. He's found the perfect edge between simplicity and representational.

Child-like naive but still sophisticated. How?! Tell me your magic. Give me your skills.
I really want this tapestry on my wall.

Is it that he's embraced the simplicity of the shapes and not tried to make them anything but that? Is it that he understands reduction more than anyone else on this planet? Is he just a God?
