Character

I'm looking forward to getting stuck into character design! I really enjoy creating worlds, but I need to work on my actual drawing and design process. I haven't been exhaustive enough in
previous tasks and I want to use this opportunity to improve my drawing.
SKETCHBOOK AT THE READY, HERE GOES!

Starting Point: Words
Using words to spark ideas

Charm (noun) -
1. Appeal, attraction, fascination, beauty, loveliness, allure.
2. Spell, incantation, formula, mojo, hex, transcendental, obscurity.

From these words... more words
INTERESTED IN THE 'SPELL' MEANING. Sprite, pixie, elf, imp, magical, spiritual, culture, night, trance, shamans, totem, tribe.

From those words... research
Went in search of magic and tribes in the library. Couldn't find anything that inspired me
except a book called 'Creatures of the Night', which I thought could help me to make some initial anthropomorphic characters.

Looked at bats, drew some bats!

These bats kept reverting to my practised way of drawing
PUSH YOURSELF
do something different
The characters even looked like a previous project of mine 'Naviplodds'

wanted to move away from bats, take a completely different form and direction.
still looking at fantasy and creatures but this time make sure they're different shapes.
